The Charleston Nut Company is your lowcountry source for dried fruits and nuts. At Charleston Nut Company you will find a whole new approach to retail and bulk products. As owners of The Tides Commodity Trading Group, we have been in the specialty food commodity business for over a decade. Over the years we have developed strategic supply chain relationships with some of the world's premiere growers, processors, farmers, and importers. Our ability to source the highest quality product, coupled with our multi-million pound volume, enables us to pass along the savings to you.

The story started with two cousins Michael Porcaro and Greg Zaccaro; they saw a niche in the Charleston market and developed an idea to start a specialty food commodity company. Mike and Greg have been in the food commodity industry for almost fifteen years and they have found the highest quality products and best sources for nuts, dried fruits, and other speciality items. Now our eclectic product line has expanded to include over 1000 items, ranging from the savory to the sweet. Charleston Nut Company now functions in day-to-day bulk distribution, retail brand, hotel, and corporate gifting. From expertise and entrerpreneurial spirit the Charleston Nut Company was born and has grown into the established company it is today. The Charleston Nut Company has seen exponential growth in their first couple years of being in business and the hardworking staff plans to continue to grow the company.

Recipe Ideas
Coconut Pie
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup Charleston Nut Company unsweet coconut flakes
- 1/2 cup pancake or biscuit mix
- 2 cups milk
- 4 eggs
- 1.5 teapsoons vanilla flavoring
- cooking spray
Preparation:
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
-Grease a 9-inch pie plate with cooking spray.
-In a bowl, stir together all of the ingredients (except the cooking spray) until well blended. Pour into the pie plate.
-Bake 50-55 minutes or until pie is golden brown and when a knife's inserted and comes out clean.
-Keep refrigerated.
